Throughout the previous three seasons, Marty and Wendy Byrde have found themselves in a variety of sticky situations, but their illegal operation might come crashing down in this final season.
The movie Ozark, starring Jason Bateman as Marty Byrde, is about a former money launderer for the Mexican cartels who goes to the Ozark Lakes with the goal of laundering $500 million in five years.
In keeping with the show’s theme of vicious criminals, we’ve done some research to bring you all the things we know about the upcoming Ozark season so far. If you are a die-hard Ozark fan like us, don’t worry, we’ve done some digging to bring you all the details we know so far.
Ozark Season 4 – Details on Release Date
Because production was delayed owing to the pandemic last year, Netflix has yet to set an air date for the critically praised TV series. Unfortunately, due to the constraints, Jason Bateman will not be allowed to direct any episodes of the fourth season.
This was the first time that the executive producer had not directed an episode of the show. Marty Byrde’s producer told Indiewire that it was “simply not responsible” to have one of the performers direct the first two episodes because “we still have to secure our perimeter.”
While I’m making sure their income is protected while they’re in quarantine, we can find a replacement if one of the crew members becomes sick. Because of this, I decided against [directing] the first two episodes. Fan’s schedules have been rearranged in anticipation of the show’s last season, which is expected to air in early 2022.
Ozark Season 4 – Details on Cast Members
It’s no secret that Ozark has altered dramatically since Season 3’s tragic events. The main players, though, are still on board. They will reprise their roles as Marty and Wendy Byrde, who were last seen in Omar Navarro’s (Felix Solis’) embrace and covered in Helen Pierce’s (Janet McTeer’s) body parts after her cruel execution.
Sofia Hublitz and Skylar Gaertner, who play Charlotte and Jonah Byrde, are also back in the family company. In addition to Julia Garner’s Ruth Langmore, Lisa Emery will reprise her role as the unsettling Darlene Snell in season 4. Last season, Ruth turned her back on the Byrdes after her love interest Ben was killed by his sister Wendy, who gave him over to the cartel.
It’s possible that Navarro’s crooked family will pose an even greater danger to the Byrdes than their boss. She will play Omar’s sister Camila Elizonndro, who will assist her son Javi (newcomer Alfonso Herrera) carve off a piece of the company that might threaten Omar’s authority. Falcón will make her acting debut in the final season.
There will also be an appearance by Ali Stroker, who plays a longtime friend of Ruth’s mother. Killer Mike, of Run the Jewels, will also make an appearance. His song “Ooh La La” closed up Season 3.
